Blog of the week at AQS!

AQS has every week a winner for the Blog of the Week. And as I am a member of AQS I follow them on Facebook and all, and they asked for entrances for the blog of the week. I just entered my blog, and actually forgot about it.
Friday I came home and wanted a great, quiet and restful weekend. And Saturday I went to Agnes for her birthday. So actually, I didn't check my blog during a day or so.
Saturday afternoon I opened my blog and saw that 800 visits were paid to my blog. I didn't get it, thought it was a hacker or spam. And then I saw that all these visits came from the AQS Facebook page and I was announced Blog of the week winner! So many people visited my blog these days and I hope a lot of people will come back!

The rest of the weekend was quiet. I went to Agnes' birthday, worked on my blog and on some other projects that need to be done. And I took a big step in cleaning my quilt room, because shoes and paint were everywhere. Doesn't this room look great now? Happy that everything is in its spot again. Nope. Haven't got a before picture. Otherwise I would be part of the next episode of Hoarders.

You may miss a big closet full of stash on the picture. That´s because I have none. Those white boxes are all I have. In the Netherlands prices are way higher than in the US. Where Americans now are complaining about 12$ a yard, we pay in our LQS usually 18-20$ a yard and prices are rising to 24$ a yard. So travelling to the US pays out when buying enough fabric there!

So now you know why I wrote a book and want to publish it in the US so badly. I have to build stash!

Have fun quilting!

always nice to get that award isn't it - I got it last year one week and was so pleased to add it to the side bar :)

Congratulations with your blog-award!
I think it is well-earned, because
of the many useful and interesting
things you write about, like the
notions, the limelight-posts and,
thank goodness, nothing like how-to-
bake-an-applepie (others may like that, but I really skip them).

I use the same boxes. For my current projects, to keep track of them.
